The school uniform is the children’s professional dress, and sets a positive tone of work in the school. It reduces competition between children and removes anxiety about what to wear to school. We appreciate the support of parents in helping us to implement the uniform policy.
In order to keep costs low for parents a school crest is not required. The uniform is to be worn on all school days, except when specific permission is given otherwise. It is strongly recommended that each child have more than one uniform so that the excuse ‘it’s in the wash’ is never necessary!
The children are advised to bring a pair of tracksuit bottoms and old runners to change into for lunch time during the winter months as the school field can get very mucky. Indoor shoes/slippers are required to keep the school floors clean and safe.
- Navy pinafore/skirt or formal trousers (if tracksuit bottoms are worn they must be plain navy - no colours/strips). Formal wear to be available for special occasions e.g. Carol Service/Sacraments/trips etc.
- Navy jumper or cardigan
- Light blue blouse/shirt, in warm weather a polo shirt may be worn
- Navy or black low heeled shoes/runners (runners other than black/navy are not acceptable)
- Suitable rain-proof coat for cold/wet weather (hoodies, half-slips etc. are not sufficient)
